Dallas doesn’t know how to deal with snow, and lots of people are freaking out. But I *love* it.

House Update

Unfortunately there’s not much to update. I had a couple showings last week, two on Saturday, and another last night. Supposedly one from Saturday is interested but I haven’t heard anything more. I’m tired, sooooo tired. I know it sounds stupid, but sometimes it seems like these Realtors are conspiring against me, calling at the very last minute for a showing on Sunday night, or scheduling one from 5-7 when all I want to do is just go HOME, or leaving certain light switches off which turn off the garage door opener.

I know it’s the stress and lack of sleep. And living in these haunted walls – there’s not a room in this house where something doesn’t remind me of everything I’ve lost. I just need this place to sell. Somebody suggested hitting the gym the other day… I’d LOVE to, but I canceled my membership when I thought I had the place sold, and now I can’t justify paying for a new membership when every month I’m stealing from my savings just to pay the mortgage.

I guess one good bit of news is I’m putting out about 20 fliers in my tube each week. I just hope it’s not neighbor kids taking them. ;-)

Hello 2010

As some of you know, there have been a ton of changes in my life over the last few months. I won’t get into all of it here in a public forum, but suffice it to say it’s been a long time since I’ve known “normal” — and I’m working on redefining that for 2010.

One of the side effects of all this turmoil and change has been that my blog has been seriously neglected. I’ve thought about – and not completely ruled out – abandoning it… Since I first started at blogspot.com years ago (wow, first post in 2005!), Facebook has stepped up to fill much of this blog’s original purpose. For the time being, however, I’ve resolved to blog more than every few months… ;-)

I’ll end this post by once again plugging the fact that my house is still for sale. ;-) The sooner I can sell, the sooner I can find a better place emotionally and spiritually (not to mention financially).
