Does anybody knows of a good travel website where you can get good deals on airfare?
I have to start planning for a trip to Nashville in September–Jodie is due September 14 and I have to be there! So I’m looking for DFW or DAL to BNA, travel time is iffy but pretty sure I need to be there by the 14th and can probably only afford to stay for a few days, a week tops. I’ve started looking at Orbitz and Travelocity, but the cheapest I’ve found so far is around $380!!!
Since I’m graduating August 5 and have yet to land the permanent job I know (hope, pray!) is coming, things are a little uncertain as to what I’ll be doing around that time. But if I can get the tickets, then I can plan around that trip. And how could I not be there for the birth of my first niece??? :-)
EDIT 1: I remembered hearing about kayak.com the other day on the Today Show so I checked it out. Found a United flight for $316, but as soon as I clicked on it for more info I got a “Whoops, the airfare went up to $402″ message. :-( Ouch!!
EDIT 2: I’ve also checked Expedia, Priceline, and numerous others… I’ve also checked directly with the major airlines… It’s scary how many sites actually link back to one of these big one (Orbitz, Travelocity, Expedia, Priceline, etc.). I just don’t know if I can afford this on top of the COBRA payments! (see post above)

Believe it or not, Keith is actually starting a blog…. He’s been working on it all day and it looks like he finally has published, so I’m going to default to his account of what we did while we were in Michigan.
Pictures (taken on our camera and mom & dad’s) are posted on my website: link
Kirk has others and when I get the URL from him I’ll post it as well.
It’s good to be back home, but I’ve got a hole in my heart… I miss everybody up there so much! The weather was beautiful–I think the hottest it got while we were there was mid-70′s. When we landed in Dallas Sunday night at 8 it was STILL 94 degrees and the smog was thick and disgusting. The skies in Michigan were so clear, and everything was SO green!
Ok I’m going to actually read what Keith wrote now; I may be back to add my two cents…
Oh and check this out, the long-awaited picture of “Preggers” (aka Jodie)!
by the way, I am intentionally sticking my belly out here!! Though I have not yet lost all the weight I want to, I DO NOT look pregnant!! ;-)
EDIT: Ok Keith’s blog is hysterical–I especially love the part about Lori’s mugs, Chris’ salty breakfast meat, and Aunt Marcia’s sweet buns! LOL

We got back into Dallas last night around 8:00 or so… I’ve got pictures and stories to tell, but am scrambling to catch up on other things right now. More to come, I promise!

The day is finally here! We’re flying to Michigan for my second cousin Kyle’s high school graduation. I dropped Khaki off at Missi & Jami’s last night, and Brian & Jeff are picking us up in a few hours to get us to the airport. Our flight leaves at 1:45, and we return Sunday evening. I’m so excited about seeing everybody–it’s been a few years since I’ve seen my cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. I’m so excited! (oops, I may have mentioned that already!) I’m just sure I’m going to forget something though….
