Your Challenge…

…should you choose to accept it: help me find a kitchen rug. ;-)

I’m going nuts trying to find one! We have a galley style kitchen (long & narrow) and I want a long rug to at least cover from the sink to the stove.

I’ve looked at every store I can think of and haven’t had any luck finding what I’m looking for. The “area rugs” aren’t long enough, and the “runners” aren’t wide enough (usually only 2 feet).

Ideally the rug would be 2.3 – 3 feet wide, and about 6 – 9 feet long. I’d like a solid color (no florals or crazy modern patterns!), a texture pattern would be ok, in a sage or olive color.

If you could help me find something like that I would be soooooooooo grateful!!!

Hmmm… That’s a toughy with those dimensions. Maybe a rug like this? The runner is close to the dimensions your looking for. What about 2 smaller rectangles?

Very cool, that looks promising! The penny-pincher part of me wants to shop around a bit more though. ;-)

I tried two smaller ones, and wasn’t happy with the way it looked. I couldn’t center the rugs on the workspace without them overlapping, and it just looked kinda hodgepodge.
