Crohn’s Research Update
I got an email from the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America last week with the following headline:
New intestinal bacteria linked to Crohn’s diseaseAn increase in the intestinal levels of a new type of infectious Escherichia coli bacteria, along with a depletion of Clostridium bacteria, appears to be involved in the development of Crohn’s disease, according to a report in the ISME Journal: Multidisciplinary Journal of Microbial Ecology. Read more.
I’m going to print this out and take it with me for my follow-up with my GI next month and see what he’s heard about it.
