Rebuilding my PC

Just a quick post to let ya know why I’ve been so quiet this week… I’d been having all sorts of problems with my computer and had just let it get worse and worse – from random Explorer errors to blue screens when trying to send a fax to general slow down b/c of all the muck in the registry. It had been over 2 years since I installed XP, so it was time to start fresh.

So anyway, Tuesday I backed everything up to my external hard drive and reinstalled XP. I’m slowly reinstalling all my applications (and discovering what I forgot to back up). It’s just taking me a while since I don’t really feel like spending all my time in front of a PC after doing it at work all day. ;-)

On a side note, to the Dallas residents that read this blog – did you know that the theater formerly known as Loew’s Keystone Park is now “Regal Entertainment” Keystone Park?? In fact I can’t even find a website for Loew’s right now – apparently they were bought out by AMC (boy I’m out of the loop) some time ago. Apparently when they did, they must have sold off the crap theaters — because Keystone Park now is really nasty. We thought we’d try to catch 300 before it left the theater (it’s on its way out right now, btw), so we went to this theater after a quick run through MicroCenter. The theater was practically dead with MAYBE 15 cars in the parking lot (front & back); the place stinks like my nasty sweaty gym shoes; the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting (I’ll spare you the details); and the theater our movie was playing in had the worst sound system I’ve ever heard in a movie theater–distorted speakers all around! We tried going into another theater to see a different movie, but it just stunk so bad and we were afraid of touching the seats, so we got our money back and left. We won’t be going back to this theater.
