Car

For those I haven’t kept in the loop… My car failed the emissions test yesterday, and to make a long story short – the only way to fix the problem is to buy a new motor for my car. LOL Yeah, right. I sure as hell don’t want to put that much money into this POS, when I’d planned on getting something newer in a few months anyway. She’s got about 202,000 miles on her – a ’95 Saturn SC1.

We took her up to another mechanic that has worked on our cars several times before for another opinion, but I don’t expect the answer to be any different. I’ve been hearing that the pistons are bad for years, so it wouldn’t surprise me in the least to find out she’s on her way to the boneyard. They told me yesterday the O rings are bad, and that she’s basically running on 2 cylinders right now.

The problem is that I don’t have the money I had planned to put into the “new” used car right now… So I’m going to need to find something REALLY cheap (i.e. no more than $1200 or so), reliable, and with decent air conditioning.

If anybody knows of something that fits into this range, please let me know!! (Keith’s dad may have something, he’s going to be looking into that for me today)
