PostSecret

This morning on Good Morning America I happened to catch the beginning of an interview with Frank Warren, who has a book out now called My Secret: A PostSecret Book. I didn’t catch the whole interview, but I heard them mention his blog, PostSecret.

Basically the idea is that people will share their most secret feelings with a complete stranger. Anybody can write a secret on a postcard of their own design and send it in to be published on this blog. His books are a compilation of these postcards and their secrets.

Maybe I was just feeling vulnerable this morning, I’m not sure, but when I took the time to read over some of the secrets I broke down in tears, impressed by the raw truth in some of them, and more generally impressed (not to tears) with the design of the postcards.

I thought the whole thing was very interesting… From some friends and family I’ve shared it with I’ve gotten, “I don’t get it” to “it’s weird”. Check it out when you get a chance and see what you think.

Everybody’s got secrets…

(here’s a Wikipedia article that explains it better than I have)
