WOW (Bush/"failure"/Google)
I recently posted a follow-up about the “failure” search on Google. Just about anybody that knows me could tell by the light-hearted post that it was pretty much a jest (I even winked for God’s sake!!)… I guess, looking back, I have gotten a little deep every once in a blue moon, but the majority of my blog content is nothing groundbreaking. [for the record, he's still a failure by my standards--but that's my OPINION, and that wasn't the point of the post in the first place]
Well what I didn’t realize when I first posted that follow-up is that they have a track back feature that lists sites that link to it. [i.e. I posted a link to their blog, and their blog automatically listed my site as one that linked to it. I'm the 8th one listed there now, but was in the top slot for a day or so.] So for a good portion of the week the comments on that post have been the hottest spot EVER on my blog! [fair warning - there is some adult language in these comments--more than I ever use here]
And I’m not saying “ever” lightly…. When I said my blog is nothing groundbreaking I was serious – I typically have anywhere between 5 and 30 hits on my blog in a day, sometimes more when FeedBlitz alerts my subscribers that I’ve posted something. But nothing “high volume”.
Until the googlebombing post! LOL On Sunday alone I had 1,185 page loads from 999 unique visitors!!! It’s been slowing down, but I think that was my 15 minutes of fame for this lifetime! ;-)
I just had to share that…. :) Oh and about the comments–I appreciated some of them, but most just made me laugh…
