Friday Stuff
First off, I stepped on the scaled this morning, as is my new Friday morning ritual, and it’s up .2 pounds — 176.8. I haven’t been so good this week, I haven’t been to the gym at all and Keith keeps insisting on getting those damn grain-sweetened chocolate covered almonds! We bought a pound and a half last night! lol I’m gonna have to just leave them alone.
Let’s see… I finally sold the printer. The only reason I hadn’t put it on EBay before was b/c I thought the shipping for something that heavy would keep people from wanting to buy it. But I finally said screw it and went ahead and put it up there b/c I was tired of seeing it collect dust and couldn’t just throw it out… It sold, and the lady that bought it wants to arrange a local pickup. She’s bought several of these printers off EBay now, and each time they arrive broken, no matter how well-packed they are. So now it’s still collecting dust… lol
I’ve been under the weather the last couple days. I took off work Wed to go to a career fair at UTD. I woke up not feeling so hot, but went anyway since I’d taken the day off work and felt I should make the most of it since I was missing a day of pay. About 10 minutes after I showed up at the career fair I had to run to the bathroom and worship the porcelain god…. So I just came home so I could worship mine that I know is clean. I’m better now–not puking any more, but still tired. But I’ve gotta get another day of pay in, so I’m heading to work shortly….
I have two programs due next week. One is a Java program for Software Engineering… I haven’t touched Java for about a year (maybe longer?) and only had one semester of it at that–but it’s not TOO hard. I should have started sooner though; I just don’t think I’ll have time to finish. The other is a C++ program for Computer & Network Security (pdf warning!). I haven’t started working on this one yet, but in theory it shouldn’t be too hard. I just have to come up with my own encryption/decryption algorithm, program it, and then analyze it. It’s due on Thursday. I missed my Computer Networks Lab yesterday… so I’m really behind in there. I’ll probably get with my lab partner Tues after class so we can try to catch up a little. I’m sure he’s ticked at me.
Oh btw, did anybody else see Dolly Parton on Ellen yesterday?? (video clip) GOD I love her! She is so damn cute! I can’t believe she’s SIXTY now (as of 1/19)!
I love me some Dolly!! :D
Ok I need to run to work now.

PS – how bizzarre is this??
PPS – I made the Montalcino Chicken earlier this week and was pretty disappointed. It wasn’t bad–it just wasn’t everything I’d built it up to be in my head.
